Budget-Friendly Pet

Introduction

Budgies are one of the most popular pets, next to dogs and cats. They can be very playful and entertaining, not to mention adorable! Budgies are very easy to care for as well. They don’t require a lot of space or attention and they don’t make much noise either. In this blog post I’ll tell you why budgies are such great pets for first time bird owners (and anyone else who’s looking for an inexpensive animal companion).

They are very cheap (the most inexpensive pet)

Budgies are the cheapest pet to own. You can buy one for an average of $5 and they will cost you less than $1 per week in food, cage cleaning supplies and toys. They live up to 20 years which means that if you buy a budgie now at age 4 and it lives until it’s 20 then you will have spent only about $600 on the bird over its entire life (or 10 years) compared to thousands of dollars on other pets such as dogs or cats whose lifespan is much shorter.

Very easy to care for

Budgies are very easy to care for. They don’t need a lot of toys or space, and they don’t make a mess in their cage. Budgies can also be kept with other birds or in pairs, but they require some supervision when doing so.

Budgies are not noisy birds and they make minimal noise while flying around the room or playing with their toys in their cage. They do not dive bomb people’s heads or others like some parrots can do – they prefer to sit on your shoulder or arm while chirping quietly (unless scared).

They are also not destructive like some parrots can be; however, if you have an unruly budgie that loves to chew paperclips off tables (like ours does), then you may want to keep them away from anything expensive!

They can live in a small cage or an aviary

Budgies can live in a small cage or an aviary. An aviary is a large cage that can be outdoors and comes with perches, toys and other items for your budgie to play with.

In order for your budgie to be healthy and happy, it needs to have plenty of space to fly around and stretch his/her wings; therefore, your cage needs to be at least 12”x12”x12” in size. If you want something fancier than just a regular bird-cage then you might consider getting an aviary instead of putting up with the hassle of cleaning out those tiny messes he makes after eating all those seeds! An aviary should be at least 8’x8’x8′ for one single pet (meaning if there are two birds living together then they need more room!)

They are quiet, unlike many other birds like parrots

Budgies are very quiet birds. Unlike many other birds like parrots, budgies do not talk much or scream. They also do not need a lot of attention and they’re not as demanding as other birds, which means they will happily spend time on their own if you need to leave them alone for a few minutes.

They are good pets if you’re new to bird ownership.

Budgies are also a good choice if you’re new to bird ownership. They are easy to care for, inexpensive, and relatively quiet compared to other types of pets. They can live in a small cage or an aviary but they do enjoy the space that an aviary provides them (and it’s much more fun for the bird!). They need a lot of toys and things to chew on—and budgies love chewing on paper towels!

Conclusion

Budgies are a great way to get started in bird ownership. They are inexpensive, easy to care for, and very quiet. If you’re interested in adding a new pet to your family but don’t have much space or money, these little guys might be just what you need!
