Top places to visit with your beagle! A list of several dog friendly activities you can take your furry friend too.

Introduction

Do you know what’s better than a beagle? A beagle that goes on adventures with you! If you are like me, then I’m guessing your dog is always up for an adventure. Beagles love going out of their comfort zone and exploring new places. If this sounds like you too – read on! Here are some of my favorite places to visit with my beagle (and they’re all dog friendly too).

Water

Beagles are excellent swimmers and have been known to enjoy playing in water. They will often chase their own tails around lakes, rivers and oceans, or they may even try to catch floating objects such as sticks or balls.

Dog park

A dog park is a fun place to take your dog to play and socialize with other dogs. It is a good way to get exercise, have fun, and meet other dog owners. Dog parks are usually fenced in areas that allow dogs of all sizes and breeds. They can also be found on playgrounds or in parks where there are other activities going on like running or biking trails for people.

Speaking of safety, there are some things you should know before bringing your pooch out onto the field:

  • Bring plenty of water since it’s hot during the summer months! If you’re inside an enclosed space like a gymnasium or greenhouse then make sure there are plenty of bathrooms available so everyone’s needs are met before they go home happy 🙂
  • Make sure everyone knows who owns which pup beforehand! This may seem obvious but sometimes puppies don’t listen very well when they’re excited about something coming up unexpectedly (like playing chase!).

Hiking trails

Hiking is a great activity for you and your dog. It’s good exercise, but it can also be a lot of fun! As with any outdoor activity, though, there are some things you need to consider before taking your dog hiking:

  • Not all dogs are equipped for hiking. A smaller dog might tire out sooner than a larger one and be more prone to injury on rough terrain or in rocky sections of the trail. If your dog has a history of joint problems or other issues that limit its mobility, consider letting them sit this one out.
  • Dogs don’t always like the heat as much as humans do—and temperatures tend to drop at night when it gets cooler outside. Be sure to pack plenty of water if you plan on spending any time outdoors during summer months (or anytime else).
  • Bring along treats so that both parties enjoy their time together while they’re hiking!

When preparing yourself beforehand:

Camping

  • Go camping! There are many dog friendly campsites out there, but make sure you get the proper permits and read through the rules before you go.
  • Find a place for your dog to sleep: Beagles love sleeping where people sleep (on couches, in beds) so make sure that you have an area for them that is out of the way of where people will be walking around and playing. You can also buy portable dog houses that are easy to set up if needed.
  • Bring food and water: Dogs will get hungry while camping so bring some food along with them too! If they don’t have access to water at all times then it’s best practice to bring along a portable bowl as well.

Park

A park is a great place to socialize your dog and have fun at the same time. A dog park is a public area where dogs can play off-leash with other dogs in a controlled environment under the supervision of their owners.

Dog parks are ideal for those who want to practice training their puppy or work on their commands, because they offer an opportunity for you and your pet to interact with other dogs and people in a safe environment. In addition, you may be able to make new friends while out on walks through local parks or even meet other dog owners who could help you train your pup!

Dog events

Dog events are a great way to meet other dog owners and their pets. If you bring your beagle, you can introduce them to other dogs and see how they react. It’s also a great opportunity for your beagle to socialize with new friends!

At these events, there will usually be an assortment of activities for your dog to do. Some of these activities may include agility courses or flyball races (where the dogs will jump over hurdles and through hoops). There might also be vendors selling pet accessories such as leashes or collars, toys and treats.
