On Saturday, April 19th, pet lovers all over Eastern Iowa will come together for the annual Eastern Iowa Pet Expo at the National Guard Armory in Cedar Rapids. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you and your family are invited to come out for adoptable pets from local rescues, vendors, baked goods, food trucks, and more! The event promises to be a fun-filled day of friendship, camaraderie, and, of course, furry friends galore!
2025 Eastern Iowa Pet Expo Highlights
- Dr. Christine Woodford’s Pet Nutrition Seminar: This highly-anticipated seminar will delve into the latest research and trends in pet nutrition, providing attendees with valuable insights into the best ways to keep their pets healthy and happy.
- Cheshire Moon Farms Petting Zoo: Get up close and personal with adorable goats, sheep, and other friendly farm animals, perfect for kids (and kids-at-heart!) of all ages.
- La Bella Pet Spa Live Grooming Demonstrations: Watch as expert groomers showcase their skills and techniques, providing attendees with a unique glimpse into the world of professional pet grooming.
- Straight Up Dog Talk Podcast Recording: The popular podcast will be taping a special episode at the expo, featuring conversations with pet experts, authors, and more. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hear some fascinating stories and insights!
- RW AutoDetailing Car Show: Outside the venue, a stunning collection of vehicles will be on display, featuring everything from sleek sports cars to rugged off-road trucks. And as a special treat, the car show will also serve as a fundraiser for the Eastern Iowa Pet Expo!
- Mr. Sushi, the Emotional Support SKUNK: This special guest is sure to be the talk of the day, and we can’t wait to meet him!
Pet Rescues at the 2025 Eastern Iowa Pet Expo

Each organization will have their own booth and will be available to answer questions, provide information, and help you find the perfect furry companion to join your family.
Admission is Free, but Donations are Welcome!
Admission into the Eastern Iowa Pet Expo is free, but we encourage donations to support the amazing work of these local pet rescues. Monetary donations, as well as donations of dog, cat, and rabbit food, are all welcome and appreciated.
