The event will take place at SWG3 on Sunday, July 6, and promises to be a fun-filled day for dog lovers and their pets. Some of the activities and attractions that dog owners can look forward to include:
- Care demonstrations and wellbeing classes
- Dog portraits and a marketplace of pet products
- Fun Agility Area, hosted by Bearsden Dog Training Club
- Barkworks, an initiative in collaboration with Yardworks
- Paws & Reset classes, led by Scottish Canine Wellness
Dogs can enjoy the outdoors at the Fun Agility Area, where they can run around and play with other dogs, or get creative at Barkworks, an initiative that offers workshops and classes on various dog-related topics. For some relaxation, Paws & Reset classes, led by Fi Duffy of Scottish Canine Wellness, offer mindfulness and meditation practices for dogs and their guardians. These classes are designed to help reduce stress and promote relaxation for both dogs and their owners. Attendees can also take part in dog-themed tarot readings by Tarot by Peachy and educational sessions covering training, wellbeing, and more. A highlight of the event is the live grooming demonstration by award-winning groomers Rebecca Duguid of Premier Dog Grooming & Training Academy and Paige Tulloch of Tulloch’s Tails. This session will showcase the latest techniques and tools used in dog grooming. In addition to these activities, attendees will also get to meet representatives from charities such as Paws on Plastic and Pets as Therapy. The Barklove Marketplace features over 25 traders offering a range of pet products and gifts, including treats, baked goods, grooming products, toys, and accessories. A professional photographer will also be on hand at the Pawtrait Studio to offer pre-booked sessions throughout the day, capturing special moments for dog owners to cherish. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, April 11, and prices start from £11 for adults, with child tickets priced from £6 for those aged five to 16. Under-fives and dogs can attend for free but require a ticket. To book tickets and find more information, visit the event website.
