Waiting To Find A Home

Introduction

I’ve always wanted to be a writer but I don’t have much experience with it. I do, however, love animals and would like to start a blog about pets that are up for adoption. It’s not just about the cute animals that are waiting for their forever home but also about how you can help these organizations get them adopted faster by giving them exposure through your website.

Introduce a pet each day that is up for adoption.

You’re not going to find out how great a pet is until you meet them. But we can take some guesses based on what their owners have said.

  • Be honest: If there was an issue with your pet, let us know.
  • Don’t be afraid to brag about your pet’s best qualities and successes: We want people to know that their dog is really good at Frisbee catching and loves watermelon (or whatever).
  • Provide links where interested parties can learn more: This might be a video, photos of the animal, or something else really special about your pet that isn’t easily captured on paper alone.

Include an easy way to inquire about the main subject of the post.

Include a contact form, an email address, a phone number, or any other easy way for people to inquire about the main subject of your post. If you’re writing about an animal up for adoption and include an easy way to contact the shelter or rescue that’s caring for it, you’ll be much more likely to get responses from people interested in adopting that animal.

If there are any ways they can help—whether it’s sending toys and treats (if they’re not able to adopt themselves), volunteering at the shelter/rescue that has your subject in their care (if they live nearby), or just sharing this post with friends and family on social media—please let them know!

Have social media sharing buttons at the bottom of each post.

The next time you publish a blog post or article, consider adding social media sharing buttons at the bottom of each post. These are very simple to implement and will help drive more traffic to your website.

When someone clicks on one of these buttons, they’re taken to an external site where they can share the content on their social networks. The image below shows how this might look:

You should also consider including a link back to your website for those readers who want to learn more about your business or blog (like us!). This is particularly helpful if people don’t have Facebook accounts so they can still access your site from this page.

Instructions on how to volunteer, fill out an adoption application and make a donation should be on every page.

  • Include a link to a contact form.

Create a gallery for each pet that includes different pictures and details about them

  • Include a picture of the pet.
  • Include the pet’s name and age.
  • Include a description of their breed, gender, and size (if known). If you’re not sure what kind of dog they are or if they have any medical issues—like being blind—it’s okay to add that information as well!
  • Describe the animal’s personality traits: how does your dog act around strangers? Does he bark at anyone who comes through your front door? What about when it’s mealtime? Does she whine for food or wait patiently until you put down her bowl first? Does he run away from his toys when you throw them across the room? And what about when he gets bored with them—does he go back to playing with them again once his interest has been piqued again after an hour or so away from them? Be specific! The more details we can give potential adopters about these animals’ personalities helps us match them up with homes that better fit their needs, so include everything else you know about how your dog behaves too (or anything else interesting!).

Create an interactive map with multiple shelters/rescues that has a description and link to their websites that shows you where they are geographically.

It’s important to get permission before using a shelter/rescue’s logo and photos. You don’t want to run into any legal trouble!

You can use Google Maps to create an interactive map that shows your local shelters/rescues on it. The map can also show the distance between each one, so you can easily see which shelters are closer than others. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Go to Google Maps and click “Create Map” in the top left corner of your screen.
  • Choose whether you’d like a satellite view or street view (this depends on what type of location you’re looking for). If there aren’t any options available for your area, try searching for nearby cities!
  • Click “Add Marker” when prompted about adding markers at specific places or roads in order—this will help keep everything organized so users won’t have trouble finding their favorite pets! It also gives them more information about each organization’s services by clicking directly onto them from different locations throughout town; allowing potential adopters access only through phones may make things confusing later down the road when they want answers but don’t know where they came from originally due solely upon their own experiences navigating through other social media platforms online (such as Facebook).

Add testimonials from people who have adopted pets and volunteers who work or have worked for different rescues and shelters around the area.

  • Include testimonials from people who have adopted pets and volunteers who work or have worked for different rescues and shelters around the area.
  • Include pictures of the pets that were adopted.
  • Include an adoption application for those interested in adopting a pet. You can also include a link to where people can make donations to help support your organization’s efforts as well as volunteer information so that people who want to get involved can do so easily.

Write about fun activities that you can do with your pet.

If you’re interested in writing about your pet and would like to share some fun activities that you can do with them, we’d love to hear from you! We have already had someone write a great blog post about making their own dog treats. If you’d like to use this as a template for your own blog, please feel free.

We also have another writer who has written on how to make homemade cat treats and another writer who has written on how to make homemade horse treats.

organizations in your area will want to partner with your website so their pets are featured in posts if they are easily accessible online and they see how successful the partnership can be!

When you create a website, you want to make sure it’s easy for people to find the animals. If they aren’t easily accessible online, then they’ll be less likely to get adopted.

It also helps if the organization has an accessible location as well. Some shelters and rescues are not in remote areas where they can’t be reached easily by potential adopters. It’s important that these organizations partner with your website so their pets are featured in posts if they are easily accessible online and they see how successful the partnership can be!
